Spouse:  Kelly

Children:  Calah – 15, Megan – 13, Amanda – 11, Brycen – 6, and Ethan – 3

Pets:  Ghirardelli and Godiva (guinea pigs!)

Hometown:  Elyria, Ohio

Favorite Bible Verse:  Jeremiah 9:23-24

Testimony:  My parents accepted Christ when I was very young, so I had the privilege of growing up in a solid Christian home.  When I was 3 (!), I asked to go forward in church to ask Jesus into my heart.  At first, my parents were hesitant because they wanted to make sure I understood what I was doing.  After talking with me at home and waiting a couple of weeks, I went forward in church and began my personal relationship with Jesus Christ – the best decision I’ve ever made!  Then, I went home and stood on top of our doghouse and began preaching to my beagle “Droopy” and singing “Just As I Am.”  Unfortunately, Droopy never responded to one of my invitations.  He just sat there and stared at me.

Gary Morland
Network Program Director, Afternoon Show Host

Spouse:  Brenda

Children:   Myquillyn (yes, we made it up!) and Emily.

Pet: Delly (miniature schnauzer). Is in the process of trying to eat the whole world – she’s about half-done.

Testimony:  I never even thought about Jesus Christ or religion until my wife Brenda was saved. I liked beer (a lot) for a long time. Brenda prayed and would talk to me about Jesus and salvation. It took about 12 years for me to come to my senses— God convinced my heart that He was real and I was lost, and that only through the life, death and resurrection of His Son could I be rescued. I believed and was rescued on October 26, 1988. Since then my focus, purpose, priorities, and behavior have been transformed, and by God’s grace I’ll continue to change.

Favorite Bible verse: John 15:5 – “If a man remains in me and I in him, he well bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.”  Something inside me tells me this is the most important thing in the world, but I’m far from having it realized in my life.

Erica Parkerson
Morning Show Co-Host

Name:  Erica Parkerson

Spouse:  Will

Children: Hannah and Josh

Favorite Scriptures: Isaiah 49:16: "See, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands..." Engraved - that's so permanent. He's not giving up on me!

Testimony:  Growing up, I viewed Jesus as a God made of plaster and paint. He was a statue I admired and respected, but not a real, flesh and blood God I could put my trust in, stake my life on. Bottom line, I always knew that Jesus was God's Son... but I didn't know Him. Then one weekend when I was 16, my friend Jenn invited me on a spiritual retreat which became the turning point of my entire life. We stayed in a mountain lodge, singing Amy Grant songs and talking about Jesus like He was alive and in the room, not in the sky or hanging from a gold chain around my neck. There was an Albert Sumter quote hanging in the lodge, which best describes my experience there: “In the midst of winter I finally learned that in me was an invincible summer." I remember telling my mom in the car on the way home, that I felt like Jesus was sitting right next to me, like He was my friend in addition to being my God. Mystified, Mom called her brother Joe, who was the first Christian in our family, and asked him to talk with me. Uncle Joe came with a "Power Team Bible" :) and a stack of Christian music tapes. He told me how Jesus had died for me, and rose again, and suddenly, it was personal. It was love. Later, while sitting on an exercise bicycle, I knew deep in my heart that I was saved. It was as if a veil was lifted from my face. I was changed forever. In an instant, Christ became the Lover of my soul and the “Friend Who sticks closer than a brother.”
